Arsenic and cadmium found in mainland vegetables

The level of arsenic and cadmium were 2.2 mg/g and 0.11 mg/g respectively in the vegetables from Jinshan village, Panyu, Guangdong province, mainland China.



The Guangzhou city government have tested the soil of that region. The level of cadmium of two samples is 0.59mg/g and 0.659mg/g which is 2 times and 2.2 times of the tolerance level.
