A 13-year-old girl was threatened by a 14-year-old boy with a knife in Tseung Kwan O. She was followed on the way home in Kin Ming Estaste. She was hostage to back staircase but fortunately she scared away the boy by shouting for help. The police checked the CCTV recording of the estate and finally captured the suspect who is charged with loitering. Source: Mingpao

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced that Sai Kung Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground and Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground will be temporarily closed for track maintenance works from December 19 to March 31 and from December 23 to January 6 respectively. During these periods, the public may use the grass soccer pitch at Po Tsui Park and other jogging tracks in the same district. Meanwhile, Tsui Lam Sports Centre in Sai Kung District will be temporarily closed for improvement works from January 9 to March 31. The Leisure Link's counter booking services at the sports centre will also be suspended from February 20 to March 31. During these periods, the public may use similar facilities and services at Po Lam Sports Centre, Tseung Kwan O Sports Centre or Hang Hau Sports Centre (will be opened by the end of this month) in the same district.

From Open Rice The Sai Kung Wing Wo Seafood Restaurant ( 西貢永和海鮮酒家 ) is closed. Wing Wo has served Sai Kung for 41 years without 10% service charge and has earned the loyalty of patrons. Many hikers do love the traditional dim sum like Big Bun filled with Chicken Ball (雞球大包) and Quail Egg Dumplings (鵪鶉蛋燒賣). As said by the general manager who has been working for 38 years, the banquet bookings can last for several months in the peak seasons.
